Show Your Support or Opposition for a Bill
When a bill is scheduled for a hearing, here is how to sign in with your support or opposition. First, prepare yourself with the bill number, name of the committee hearing the bill, and the date and time of the hearing. Then click on the appropriate link below. Most importantly, you must sign up at least 30 minutes before the hearing.
Want to Testify
To attend the hearing remotely, go to General Court website. Select the latest House or Senate Calendar. In the calendar select Remote Hearings for the Senate or Committee Meetings for the House, find the date and committee hearing the bill; below that you will find the list of bills for that committee, for that date, you will find a Zoom link, Youtube link, or phone number to remotely attend the hearing, and a link to sign in to testify if desired.

To find to your State Senator and Representative(s) and their email addresses,
- Go to The New Hampshire House of Representatives/Members
- Select your town.
- Then click on the name(s) of your Senator or Representative(s) to find their email address.

How To Write A Letter To The Editor
Writing a letter to the Editor is quite simple. Pick a topic you are passionate about. Compose a letter to “Dear Editor”. Limit your letter to one topic. State your opinion in the first sentence or two. Then discuss the issue. End by re-stating your opinion. Include your letter in the body of the email. An attachment may not be opened. Always include your full name and address and a phone number. Typically, only your name and town will be published in the paper.
Word limit. The Concord Monitor and Eagle Tribune have a 200-word limit. The Derry News and Union Leader have a 250-word limit. The Keene Sentinel, Londonderry Times, Nutfield News, and Tri-Town Times allow up to 400 words. It is best to be as concise as possible. Shorter letters are more likely to be read.

Union Leader – send in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include the letter in the body of the email. Attachments are not opened.
Or fill out online at www.unionleader.com. If the online letter form does not automatically pop up, select Contact Us, then Letters and Opinions.
Derry News – Compose and send a letter on line at www.derrynews.com. If the online letter form does not pop up, select Opinion. The online app will keep track of your word count for you.
Eagle Tribune – Compose and send a letter on line to www.eagletribune.com. If the online letter form does not pop up, select Contact Us.
Nutfield News, Londonderry Times, and Tri-Town Times – Email your letter to editor at email@example.com. Include the letter in the body of the email.
Keene Sentinel – Compose and send a letter on line to www.sentinelsource.com. If the online letter form does not pop up, select Opinion.
